Currently I am writing this blog in the media room of KeyArena, former home of the Seattle Super Sonics NBA franchise. As most of you know, the Sonics are not longer in Seattle, but in a scam like move, are now in Oklahoma under a different name. But that is water under the bridge, or is it?
But this blog isn’t about the Sonics, it’s just a recap of what has been going on with Steven Bisig Photography (me). To keep it short and sweet, all that’s really been going on lately for me is photographing the Washington Huskies mens basketball with a couple small local events thrown in here and there to help pay the bills.
And back to why I am currently sitting in the media room of the famous KeyArena. Tonight I will be shooting UW’s “away” game across town as they take on the Seattle University Redhawks. What should be an easy game for UW, you can’t count any team out while playing at home. As we have seen the past couple of weeks in the NCAA, lots of upsets to be had.
Starting with tonights game, the remainder 4 UW games are all in Seattle, then we see if UW makes it to the playoffs (I think they will). But unfortunately, I will not be traveling to cover any of the playoff games. Instead, I will be covering the entire Seattle Sounders FC MLS soccer home schedule at Quest Field. I am pretty pumped to shoot the Sounders. They are a very energetic team, have crazy fans, and in my opinion, play in the best venue in all of MLS soccer.
Well, it’s time for me to start getting my camera gear ready for the game. Until the next post, I am out!
