Just a quick post. Looks like one of my photos was featured on ESPN’s Fantasy baseball website. Keep them coming!
Had my first close call last night while shooting the Seattle Mariners vs Oakland Athletics MLB baseball game in Seattle. An Oakland player fouled the ball and without anytime to think to duck, the ball whizzed right past my head! Talking with regular MLB photographers, it’s bound to happen every year. So I guess, this wasn’t my time.
Oh yeah, I got the shot of the ball coming at me (see below).

Once again, its been awhile since I posted a blog. Seems to be the new theme of the Steven Bisig Photography blog, right? Well, whats been going on Steven’s world of photography? Lots of stuff. Since my last blog I have shot 1 Sounders FC game, 3 Seattle Mariners games, the Seattle Supercross race and senior photo shoot!
But with the economy we are facing right now, I have no complaints. Even though I am way behind on my some of my stock photo edits, I am happy to be busy.
Along with the recent events covered, I have had some work published. A photograph from a few weeks ago taken during when the Sounders FC beat the Chicago Fire was published in the Chicago News Tribune. That same week, FSN West ran an article on David Beckham about coming back for one more season in the MLS and used one of my shots. But, I think my favorite recent shot published has to be a show of James Stewart jumping a double during the Seattle Supercross in which he won his 2nd consecutive race. This shot was published on the USA Today website. (see published shots below).
Next up, 3 Seattle Mariners games in a row starting tonight (Friday). Its shaping up to be a busy summer!
