It was an honor to capture these images, and honestly I got a little teary eyed when I saw that he had teared up.

Unfortunately, I don’t know Joe’s story besides what’s on the website, but will soon. I plan on ordering the book and watch the film (tried to watch last night, but don’t have the military channel).

Steve, thanks so much for taking and posting these great photos of Joe. I was privileged to get to know Joe well as the author of his book and executive producer of the film featuring Joe. He is a remarkable man. He and his wife Jean are life-long sports fans. Somehow, his character and heart are captured in that photo with tears in his eyes. Thanks again.
