It has been a busy week of MLB baseball photography. The Los Angeles Angels were in tow for a 4 game series in which I covered the first 3 of them. Below are a few of my favorite photos I made over the three games. Next up, Sounders FC soccer and Mariners vs Tigers MLB baseball, both today (May 31st).
Did I mention that the MLB baseball season has started? Well, it has and I have already covered a few games. Unfortunately a combination of being busy and lazy on the days not working, I haven’t posted a MLB baseball themed blogged. So here is my first, a few of my favorite photos from the Mariners vs Rangers game on April 26th, 2014 in Seattle, WA.
It’s been over a month since my last blog post, not good. I really need to keep on it, at least when I am in between assignments. So what have I been up too? Pretty much most of my work lately has been covering the Seattle Mariners, with a couple of Sounders FC and Sounders Women games thrown in here and there. That’s about it.
A little bit of equipment news, I finally upgraded my computer. All this time I have been pushing my late 2006 MacBook to the limit, processing images and getting them out on deadline as fast as possible. Well, I bit the bullet and ordered one of the new MacBook Pro retina’s shortly after they were released by Apple. I configured it with the 2.3GHz processor, 256 SSD and 16GB of RAM! Huge difference going from a laptop that was over 5 years old and only 2GB of RAM.
My first assignment with the new computer was during yesterday’s (June 18) Mariner vs Giants assignment in Seattle. If I had to guess, I would say the new MacBook Pro reduced the time it took to get deadline photos out by at least 75%! And that was with using USB 2.0 card readers which will now be retired (received my USB 3.0 readers today in the mail). I am really looking forward to pushing the new MacBook Pro during the next few years worth of assignments.
In closing, here are a few of my favorite images from the past few weeks.
